The Christmas Cookie recipe

Howdy Y'all, I am licking my licks just thinking about my cookies. Here is the recipe for the Toggens.

To is for Tofu
gg is for fresh veggies
ens is for beans

Mommy created the recipe from two recipes. One in a book and one from the canine kidney website.

One part fresh veggies(Mommy said organic is good, but the veggies don't have to be organic). Mommy and I are using two yellow bell peppers, two orange bell peppers, three yellow zucchinis, three green zucchinis, one bush of broccoli, five tomatoes, and some carrots.
An equal part Garbonzo bean flower
Two or three cans of unsalted beans, were using Garbonzo and black beans
Cod liver oil, not a lot, but enough to keep the dough moist. It's healthy and it keeps the dough moist.
14 oz of Tofu
(Mommy uses some powered doggie electrolyte stuff to help Mack. After Sylvie died of Kidney disease, Mommy wants to make sure that Mack lives comfortably as long he can.)

If you are really feeling fancy, you can make a tofu cream - like topping. You can use red bell peppers or green bell peppers to give it a holiday color.

Generally, we bake them at 15 minutes per cookie sheet at about 350. They can be balls, cookies, cut out cookies, or anything.

They taste like a doggie garbonzo cookie, and they are edible for humans.
We will have pictures of the finished product soon.

  1. Oh! Doggie cookies! I get it. Vegies would be most yummers in a cookie.

  5. Veggie cookies are healthy but we don't like veggies. So our Aunty Diana never bakes us veggie cookies. Hope she doesn't see this and start to bake them for us!

  6. Do you chop all the veggies - or does everything get blended together? We cannot wait to see the final product - they sound nummy!
