Oh No, Mommy said "Babysitter"

Mommy said for Thanksgiving a babysitter would come and take care of me and Mack for one night. This is horrible. I've never ever spent a night away from Mommy. I must stop this. Please friends tell me what to do? I must be near Mommy at all times, and she said she will be leaving me. Oh, what can I do? This is not good. This is an old picture of me in Mommy's lap in Nana's old house. See how happy I am, and Mommy is trying to leave me. This is beyond bad. Who will I sleep with? Who will give me my breakfast? Without Mommy, what will become of me?
A sad, sad, Sally Ann

  1. Oh dear.... our mummy went away once and left us with the daddy, we were not too keen on the idea either, but daddy gave us the tuna food every day and lots of Greenies, so we were pretty happy in the end.

Maybe this sitter will do the same?

  2. Hi, Sally Ann!
Don't worry! You are going to be ok! I am sure your baby sitter is going to take good care of you and Mack.
My mom has been away from me only twice. The first time she had to go on a work trip for 2 days and she missed me more than I missed her.
The second time was just the last week when she had to stay at the hospital. She wanted to come home sooner because she did not want me to be alone at night but I slept with my grandma and everything was fine.

  4. Tell your Mommy that this is not acceptable. She MUST take you and Mack where ever she's going!

  5. Well a baby sitter sounds an aweful lot like a Doggy Nanny. So if it is you should be just fine. They are not our mommies but a REAL close second. They give love, treats (more than momma gives), and meals. So just sit back and relax it will be ok! We promise.

  6. Sally Ann whatever you do please don't panic about this.

You will be fine. Baby sitters are easily sorted and we guarantee within 5 minutes of your Mommy leaving you will have the baby sitter wrapped around your paw.

  7. Mack and Sally Ann, I know exactly how you feel. I cannot ever be away from my Mommy. I have to admit that when she does go away she always comes back and usually I get treats. I am sure that your Mommy would never leave you with anyone who doesn't love you. Mommy always leaves me something that smells like her, maybe you could try that and try to be brave. I will be thinking of you.

  9. Sally Ann (and Max?) we have doggiesitters and really like them better than going to the doggie boarding place.

Part of their job is sleeping with us and walking us...and we make sure that they understand that treats are part of the contract.

It is better because you are in your own house and bed, and you can have ALL your toys, not just two of them

  10. At least you won't have to go to the kennel. We are sure your Mommy has found you a very good and loving babysitter. Maybe if you give her lots of slurpy kisses, she will let you sleep with her.

  11. Our Moms and Dads take us to our Aunt Jennie's house. She runs a dog boardie place. We don't mind, because Aunt Jennie gives us LOTS of treats and we get to play a lot! You may just like your babysitter. Give her a chance!

  13. Don't be afraid, Sally Ann. Your mommy will be thinking of you every second she is gone. She loves you so much that I am sure that she chose only the very best most loving reassuring babysitter there is...I bet you will get lots of extra attention and treats. Maybe mommy can call you to say "goodnight" so that you will be able to sleep without worry. Maybe you can have one of her shirts to cuddle with as well (it will smell like mommy and that will be good).Mack will be there to protect and all of us will be sending you soothing comforting vibes and mommy will be home in no time. It will be all right.

  18. Sally Ann, don't be scared. Dream about me being close to you.

Once your mom person comes back you can use a sad face to make your mom person feel guilty and get extra lovin' & treats.

It will be o.k., I promise.
