Sylvie

Hi y'all, Mommy has been thinking about this for a couple of days.  Burt's Mommy has been a bit sad recently because of something that happened.  He didn't really talk about it, and that's ok. I think a sheep dog named Jamie moved to heaven.  My sister Sylvie was my Mommie's first dog.  Mommy got this marker for Sylvie, and she thought that maybe Burt's Mommy might like to get something like this. Mommy gets upset even a bit now, although I am the only one that knows.  If Sylvie were still here, she would be approaching her 22 birthday.  Mommy still calls me her name sometime even now.
Mommy and I have to take the garbage out now.

  2. Hi Sally Ann,
My Vickie and I LOVE what you got for Sylvie, and we noticed that Sylvi and Jamie were almost the same age when they moved on. It is pretty special when we get to stay for so many years with our humans. They are so lucky to have us for 10 or 12 years, let alone 16 or 17.
    Thanks for thinking of us.
    Love
    Bert

  8. Hi, I think this is a wonderful tribute to a "heart dog". I love memory stones although haven't been able to find one for my Sadie, who passed two years ago. I think it would be a great thing for Bert's mom. You are thoughtful to have shared this.
    Have a great day.

  10. Sally Ann, that is so beautiful. Before I came to live here, there was a doggy named Holly and Mommy misses her also. She loves me tons and tons, but I guess we just stay in their hearts forever. We are lucky to be loved so much.

  11. What a beautiful idea! You tell mommie that it is ok to still get a little sad sometimes and to miss Sylvie. She is a very special girl and she will always walk next to her and guide her and love her and live right in her heart. And you must never be jealous, Sally Anne, because there is a place in mommie's heart and life that only you fill and that will always be so.
